Alex Guarnaschelli Says This Giada De Laurentiis Cookie Recipe Is 'Divine' & Fans Agree

Well, we just got confirmation on one iconic celeb chef recipe that’s been making the rounds for years, and it’s all thanks to a review from Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli, whose new cookbook with daughter Ava is coming out next week (get it here). The recipe in question? Giada De Laurentiis’ lemon ricotta cookies. Are they really all they’re cracked up to be?


According to Guarnaschelli, yes! The Alex vs America host shared a picture of the cookies on her Instagram stories, captioned “Have you ever made @GiadaDeLaurentiis’s lemon ricotta cookies? Make them now.” She goes on to call the cookies “divine,” saying “I can’t stop won’t stop eating them.”

De Laurentiis’ Italian lemon ricotta cookies have been a fan favorite for years. The light, fluffy cookies are made with whole milk ricotta cheese, lemon juice, and lemon zest, and are topped with a lemon glaze once they’ve cooled. Giada De Laurentiis has a lot of cookie recipes we’ve made in the past, but many fans say this is her best one. She even shared an updated recipe in recent years, which one reviewer said “really is better.”

What do people love about these cookies? Many love the texture. One reviewer called the cookies “wonderful cake like clouds,” while another praised how “light and puffy” they are. As for the taste, one reviewer said that “the ricotta adds an amazing depth of flavor,” going on to say these are the “perfect summer cookie.”

And with 4.5 out of 5 stars from 1,289 reviews on the Food Network website, it would seem that most people agree with Alex Guarnaschelli — Giada De Laurentiis’ lemon ricotta cookies are a total must-try.
